Ekoten Tekstil adopts the basic philosophy of caring for people and the planet. Following a social and environmentally conscious approach, it carries out new projects in this field every day. We embrace a culture that uses the latest production technologies with the aim of reducing the use of resources and energy, such as water and electricity. The first step was taken with the ‘Pad Batch’ dyeing technique to decrease energy use.

Ekoten Tekstil promotes leadership in eco-friendly approaches through projects on global climate change. Despite having no legal obligation in Turkey at the time, Ekoten Tekstil calculated its emissions for 2012 and reported figures in 2013 in accordance with the ISO 14064-1 Standard to the Climate Change program of the Carbon Disclosure Project, supported by more than 700 investors around the world. As of 2021, fossil fuel consumption has been reduced by 65%, and carbon emissions have been minimized. A primary goal for Ekoten Tekstil is to become Carbon Neutral by 2030.

Ekoten Tekstil first documented its green production initiative by obtaining the ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management Certificate in December 2012. At the end of this process carried out by The British Standards Institution, Ekoten became the first textile factory in the country and 7th in the world to be certified with an ISO 50001:2011. It is also the 10th factory in the general industry to be certified in Turkey.
